   To be eligible students must have sat and passed a minimum of Papers 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6. If they are awarded exemptions from Papers 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6, or they have exemptions from any papers based on qualifications gained more than ten years ago, they will not be eligible to join the degree scheme. (If this is the case, students will be eligible if they give up these exemptions and sit the relevant papers.) Students are also required to hold a minimum English language qualification e.g. GCSE English, Cambridge Proficiency Examination in English, or equivalent, including Paper 1.3 (Managing People).

    In addition to passing Part 1 and Part 2 of the ACCA examinations, students will be required to complete a Research and Analysis Project. This is designed to ensure that students have acquired the additional key skills required for the award of an Oxford Brookes degree.

The Research and Analysis Project

Students will be required to demonstrate that they can research, analyse and use key skills, as determined by the University. They will do this by completing a Research and Analysis Project, which comprises a 5,000 word Report and a 1,500 word Key Skills Statement. The project is designed to complement the ACCA examinations and also test those skills which Oxford Brookes has determined to be vital for accounting graduates, including communication skills, information gathering, analysis and IT skills.

    Students can submit the Research and Analysis Project at any time after the completion of Part 2, Part 3 or as an ACCA member. Students have ten years from the date of their first ACCA registration to submit the requirements for the Research and Analysis Project to Oxford Brookes University for assessment.

    The degree classification will be based on the average mark achieved in all ACCA papers passed in Parts 1 and 2 of the examinations.
