Shipbuilding and Oceanography Engineering is concerned with ocean engineering design and construction for transportation, resource exploration and naval operations. This master’s degree department prepares engineering talents with qualifications in building ships, underwater craft and ship power systems, in designing oceanographic structures, and in designing, manufacturing, and analyzing the economics oceanographic development. The main courses include political theory, foreign languages, advanced mathematics, computer graphics, software engineering, shipbuilding design, the design of oceanographic structures, evaluation of reliability of structures, antisepsis technology, optimum structural design, floating systems, wave interaction with ships and structures, shipbuilding science and engineering progress, oceanographic systems engineering and management.
