acknowledgement当其在作下列意思用的时候，是不可数名词，没有复数形式。 

1.承认；2.打招呼；3.（表示已收到信函的）确认通知、回音；4.答谢、鸣谢。 

当acknowledgement作“回信，回条”的时候是可数名词，可以用复数形式，尤其应当指出，一般用The acknowledgements放在书或文章前后的谢辞、致谢。
